I am a Canadian artist, painter and now also a pottery junky, I just woke up one morning and started working with clay. This laborious process that requires much patience and a genuine love of form allows me to create spontaneous and organic shapes by throwing and hand building. These raw shapes and forms dictate the final outcome of a piece. Layers of glazes are applied both in meticulous manner and spontaneous outbursts, to achieve the desired results, many pieces are fired multiple times at varying temperatures. The finished pieces reveal a story that challenges visual and sensory experience, using elements that demand physical involvement and allow to expose an edge of vulnerability and freedom of spirit. No two pieces are the same.
